The beauty of the Wye Valley
The Wye Valley is home to Llangoed Hall. It also a designated Area of Natural Beauty that boasts no end of spectacular scenery, peaceful riverside pathways and quiet wooded glades
The Wye Valley straddles the border between England and Wales. It is home to some of the most attractive, most scenic landscapes in the UK, and was established officially as an Area of Natural Beauty in 1971.
Central to the valley's beauty is the majestic River Wye, the UK’s fifth longest river. The Valley is also home to any number of picture-postcard villages and historic market towns. Interestingly enough, it is regarded as one of the birthplaces of the modern tourism industry.
"The setting in the Wye Valley is spectacular; we enjoyed a walk along the River Wye, the only noises being the birds singing & the water trickling past"
