Job Overview:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen. Your main responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring that all kitchen equipment is in good working order.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the kitchen is clean and tidy at all times, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and plating dishes.
- Receive and store food deliveries, ensuring that all items are stored correctly and rotated according to date.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including maintaining personal hygiene standards and reporting any hazards or incidents to the Head Chef.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a kitchen environment is desirable, but not essential.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety standards.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Job Overview:
An opportunity has become available at Llangoed Hall to work as part of our amazing Food and Beverage team. The job includes supporting the Operations Manager and team in our restaurant, lounge and wedding businesses.
Responsibilities:
(please note that this list is not exhaustive)
- Ensure our customers receive excellent service during their time with us and that we always exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Taking orders and serving food to all our service areas.
- Adhering to all relevant H&S standards.
- Setting up and clearing down the restaurant, lounge and wedding venues.
- To ensure all monies are handled correctly and ensuring that all room/main accounts charges are signed for.
- Be knowledge of all menu items (full training will be provided), their garnish, contents and preparation methods. Be prepared to answer any guest questions about the menu in a courteous way.
Requirements:
Previous experience is not required and full training will be provided. Hours involve working days, evenings, and weekends and bank holidays in a 5 day operation – we are usually closed on Monday afternoons, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
